The drills are planned off Syria’s coast

MOSCOW, January 9. /TASS/. The Russian Navy will hold missile firing drills off Syria’s coast in the Mediterranean Sea in January, according to a NOtice To AirMen (NOTAM) circulated on Wednesday.

"The Russian naval drills (the practical missile firing exercise) will be held on January 9-10, January 16-17, January 23-24 and January 30-31," the notice says.

The missile firing drills are planned off Syria’s coast in the Mediterranean Sea, NOTAM specifies.

In early September 2018, the Russian Navy held large-scale drills in the Mediterranean Sea, which practiced the newest tactical techniques and methods of the operation of naval groups and aviation. The drills involved 26 combat ships and vessels, including two submarines, and also 34 aircraft.
