Russian-US counterterrorism talks held in Vienna

The sides agreed to maintain permanent contact in the sphere of counterterrorism

MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov and US Under-Secretary of State John Sullivan held counterterrorism talks in Vienna on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry informed.

"[The sides] have held talks, during which they discussed the principles and basic goals of activating bilateral cooperation on countering the terrorist threat. They also exchanged opinions on current issues and promising directions of further counterterrorism cooperation of both countries," the Russian ministry stated.

The sides also agreed to maintain permanent contact in the sphere of counterterrorism.
