Fighter jets destroy 'enemy' echelon at air drills in Russia's Far East

The air drills were held at a specialized training range of the Eastern Military District in the Khabarovsk Region in Russia's Far East

MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. /TASS/. Russian Eastern Military District's bombers have destroyed an 'enemy' echelon during air drills in the Far Eastern Khabarovsk Region, the district's press service head Col. Alexander Gordeyev said on Thursday.

"In the framework of fulfilling tactical tasks, pilots of Su-34 fighter jets and Su-24M attack aircraft fired air to surface missiles at targets representing a railway train with armored vehicles of an 'enemy'," Gordeyev said.

Moreover, pilots successfully struck targets representing reinforced concrete structures, such as bridges, bunkers, communications. Pilots also practiced air navigation, pair and group flights, escaping 'enemy' fire.

The air drills were held at a specialized training range of the Eastern Military District in the Khabarovsk Region in Russia's Far East.
