More than 100 delegations from different countries arrive to Army-2018 forum

KUBINKA /Moscow Region/, August 21. /TASS/. More than 100 foreign delegations have come to the Army-2018 international military-technical forum, Russian Defense Minister Army General Sergei Shoigu said at its opening ceremony.

The Russian defense minister said that the forum displays everything that was created in the Russian science and industry to protect the country’s borders. "We are displaying about 26,000 military products today. This is equipment, weapons and all that is necessary to provide security at sea, in the air and on land. As many as 1,500 enterprises that supply the most advanced weapons to the armed forces," Shoigu said.

"As many as 102 countries sent their missions, their delegations to our exhibition. And you can see for yourself that our doors are open. When friends come to us, we are ready to share everything that we have and everything that we managed to create during this time," he went on.

The Russian defense minister highlighted that most part of the forum’s exhibits had been tested in combat conditions in the fight against international terrorism and both proved its capabilities and showed that the Russian industry entered the most advanced level.

The Army-2018 international military-technical forum opens in the Moscow Region’s Kubinka on Tuesday and will operate until August 26.
