MOSCOW, August 20. /TASS/. Russia and Egypt will hold a session of the intergovernmental commission on military-technical cooperation headed by the two countries’ ministers on Monday, said Director of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugayev.

"I’d like to specially stress the fact that in the run-up to the forum (Army-2018, opens on August 21 - TASS) a session of the intergovernmental commission on military-technical cooperation with Egypt headed by the two countries’ ministers will take place. For a better understanding, the intergovernmental commission is not just a scheduled meeting of the defense ministers, but a rich body of the preliminary work of experts, groups and subgroups, the signing of protocols and the coordination of positions," he said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.

"The organization of such a massive and important event ahead of the Army forum shows the high level of relations between Russia and Egypt and of our cooperation in the sphere of bilateral military-technical cooperation."

The international military-technical forum Army-2018 will be held in Moscow Region’s Kubinka on August 21-26.
