Kronshtadt takes over Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg

The two biggest participants in the parade are the Project 949A Antey-class nuclear-powered submarine Oryol and the missile-carrying cruiser Marshal Ustinov

KRONSHTADT, July 29./TASS/. The second part of the Main Naval Parade has taken place off Kronshtadt, in the Gulf of Finland, TASS reports from the site.

The two biggest participants in the parade are the Project 949A Antey-class nuclear-powered submarine Oryol and the missile-carrying cruiser Marshal Ustinov. Twelve naval ships have sailed past them in a parade formation, including the Chuvashia missile boat, the small-size missile ships Serpukhov and Geyzer, the corvettes ASW Urengoi and Zelenodolsk, as well as the Boikiy corvette.

Also featured in the Kronshtadt part of the parade are the Baltic Fleet’s large landing ship Korolev, the large- anti-submarine warfare ship Severomorsk and the frigate Admiral Gorshkov.

Following them are the large landing ship Ivan Gren and the Ivan Khurs medium reconnaissance ship. The large diesel electric submarine Vladikavkaz ends the Kronshtadt part of the parade.
