SIMFEROPOL, July 12. /TASS/. The crews of the air regiment of the Southern Military District (the Krasnodar Region), which makes part of Russia’s Aerospace Force, held a training battle in the stratosphere, flying Sukhoi Su-27SM3 and Su-30M2 fighter jets, the Black Sea Fleet reported on Thursday.

"During the flights, the pilots flying modern fighter aircraft performed combat training missions to search for and detect a notional enemy’s planes, and also held a training dogfight," the press office said.

"The drills were performed in solo and in pairs, in squads [from three to four planes] and groups," the press office added.

During the training battle, the pilots also practiced aerobatic maneuvers, aerial navigation, piloting along the designated route, dodging destruction weapons and successfully performed landing on a notionally destroyed strip.
