A group of Pacific Fleet ships is leaving Vladivostok on May 7

VLADIVOSTOK, May 7. /TASS/. A group of Pacific Fleet ships is leaving Vladivostok on Monday for the Pacific Rim where it will perform a number of tasks, enter some foreign ports and take part in the Russian-Chinese drills "Maritime Cooperation 2018," spokesman for the Pacific Fleet, Captain 2nd rank Nikolai Voskresensky said.

"A group of Pacific Fleet ships - including the Admiral Vinogradov and Admiral Tributs major anti-submarine ships and the Pechenga sea tanker - will leave Vladivostok today and embark on performance of tasks in the Pacific Rim <...> The Pacific Fleet ships will spend more than two months in the voyage," Voskresensky reported.

The ships’ crews will train joint maneuvering, establishment of communication and air and anti-submarine defense at sea. Ka-27 shipborne helicopters will train to take off and land on the ships’ decks, as well as conduct training search and rescue missions at sea.

According to the schedule of international military cooperation of the Russian Armed Forces, the ships will enter some foreign ports. They are expected to take part in the active stage of the Russian - Chinese naval drills "Maritime Cooperation 2018.".
