Contacts on Syria between Russian, US Defense Ministries still in place — senior diplomat

MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. Russia’s and the United States’ Defense Ministries continue contacts on Syria, Russian president’s special envoy for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said on Monday.

"Contacts between the Defense Ministries are still in place," he said. "Naturally, we are prepared to work (on the Syrian settlement - TASS) on the basis of [United Nations Security Council] Resolution 2254."
