Kremlin reports upcoming meeting between Russian president and UNESCO head

Earlier, Audrey Azoulay said that she attaches great importance to the meeting with the Russian state leader

MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay on Wednesday.

"Throughout the day the president will have a meeting with UNESCO Director-General Ms. Azoulay," Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists.

Audrey Azoulay earlier said in an exclusive interview with TASS First Deputy Director General Mikhail Gusman that it will be her first official visit to Russia that should help consolidate bilateral cooperation in solving the modern world’s problems. She stated that she attaches great importance to the upcoming meeting with the Russian state leader and plans to discuss the issue of multilateralism and the way the UNESCO may now contribute to the solution of the tasks that the modern world is facing. The UNESCO head also expects to cover issues of bilateral cooperation, very rich and historical, between the Organization and Russia.
