Lavrov hopes Georgia will pursue neighborly relations to Russia

ROSTOV ON DON, October 28 (Itar-Tass) - Russia hopes that after the presidential elections Georgia will pursue a good-neighborly policy towards Russia due to the new realities, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

After Monday’s session of the Russian-Ukrainian interstate commission’s sub-committee for international cooperation, Lavrov said, “We wish the Georgian people to resolve all organisational issues as soon as possible to forming new bodies of power.”

“We’ll hope that these authorities will pursue a friendly and neighborly policy on the Russian track due to the modern realities in the region,” the minister said.
