Medvedev urges government members not fear difficult conditions in flood-hit Far East

He also urged to provide more active aid to plenipotentiary representative to the Far East Federal District Yuri Trutnev, the minister for the Far East Development and governors

KOMSOMOLSK-ON-AMUR, October 24 (Itar-Tass) - Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev urged government members dealing with the flood consequences in the Far East to provide more active aid to plenipotentiary representative to the Far East Federal District Yuri Trutnev, the minister for the Far East Development and governors.

“I want to say to you: this is not only the task of Vice-Premier Trutnev or the Minister for the Far East Development. This is our common cause,” the premier said, adding, “The affected region is not only the problem of governors, who examined all basements and walked up to the eyes in dirt when the situation was difficult.”

“If you lack forces, send your deputies and other officials. The work is the same, but it is more complicated due to the difficult conditions. It’s necessary to finish it,” Medvedev said.
