MOSCOW, October 23 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has met Director-General of the U.N. Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Li Yong, who is currently in Moscow on the first visit after he was elected on the post, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.
“During the meeting, Lavrov and Li discussed issues to improve the UNIDO activity under the new leadership, to strengthen the UNIDO positions within the U.N. and expanding cooperation between Russia and UNIDO, including prospects for carrying out joint projects in contributing to the development on the CIS space,” the ministry said.
