Investments in New Moscow will increase

Speaking at the 2nd Moscow International Forum on Foreign Investments on Wednesday, Sobyanin said, “The area should be developed as a single complex”

MOSCOW, October 23 (Itar-Tass) - Investments in New Moscow will increase, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

Speaking at the 2nd Moscow International Forum on Foreign Investments on Wednesday, Sobyanin said, “The area should be developed as a single complex.”

“Today investments in the area are insufficient. On the contrary, we limit investments in this area due to the fact that we believe that not all investments are good,” the Moscow Mayor said.

“Housing should be constructed as a single complex. It is necessary to build big residential areas, create new jobs, and to construct the social, engineering and transport infrastructure,” he said.

“However, every year investments in the area will increase. I believe that in five or seven years investments will be equal to investments in Old Moscow,” Sobyanin said.

He said metro would be built in New Moscow next year. “This is the development of New Moscow within the nearest 10 years,” Sobyanin said, adding, “This is not a project for one year.”
