BAKU, September 30 (Itar-Tass) - Azerbaijani parliament (Milli Majlis) on Monday, the first day of its autumn session, ratified a package of agreements with Russia. In particular, the parliament adopted intergovernmental agreements on cooperation in aeronautical search and rescue and on the construction of a motor road bridge across the Samur River.
The Azerbaijani parliament also ratified Russian-Azerbaijani humanitarian cooperation programme for the period up to 2015.
The bilateral documents were signed during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Baku on August 13, 2013.
While representing the documents, Chairman of the parliament’s Economic Policy Committee Ziyad Samedzade noted, “Implementation of the agreements will promote further expansion of bilateral relations.”
