MOSCOW, September 21 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Liberal Democratic Party leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky said he would run for the office of president until 2036.

Zhirinovsky has contended for presidency five times before. “I will do it for the sixth time in 2018 and again for the seventh time in 2024,” he told the Central Television programme on Saturday, September 21.

The politician noted that he would turn 71 by the time the nearest presidential election is held in 2018.

“In 2036, I will be 90. This will be my last election. I want to stay by my voters,” Zhirinvosky said.
