NEW YORK, July 13 (Itar-Tass) - The National Basketball Association’s Brooklyn Nets signed a contract with Russian Andrei Kirilenko, the team’s official site reports.

The team’s owner is a Russian businessman Mikhail Prokhorov.

“I am very happy to welcome Andrei,” Prokhorov said. “He is a real talent and a true universalist. Being his compatriot, I am especially proud that Russia’s best player in NBA’s history will be playing for our team.”
