Mi-8 helicopter makes hard landing in Yakutia

MOSCOW, July 2 (Itar-Tass) - A Mi-8 helicopter made a hard landing in Yakutia.

The helicopter captain called rescuers, using a satellite communication system.

The information that the Mi-8 made a hard landing 45 km northwest of the airfield of the settlement of Deputatsky was received by the Russian Emergencies Ministry's crisis centre in Yakutia at 05:20 Moscow time from the captain, the press service of the Emergencies Ministry’s Far Eastern regional centre told Itar-Tass.

According to the preliminary reports, aboard the helicopter were 28 people, three crew and 25 passengers, including three children.
