MOSCOW, July 2 (Itar-Tass) - Chavez Street will be opened in a ceremony in northern Moscow on Tuesday.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who is in the Russian capital on a visit, is expected to attend the opening ceremony.

It is tribute paid by Muscovites to the memory of the late comandante who maintained close relations with Russian people, the Venezuelan Embassy noted.

The decision to rename the street was announced by the Moscow government in late June.
