SOCHI, June 29 (Itar-Tass) - A cycle of lectures and seminars within the framework of the international peace building movement Generations For Peace opens on Saturday in Sochi. Over 30 young delegates from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Jordan, Pakistan, Russia and Ukraine will learn how conflicts are resolved with the help of sports, sources from the administration of the Black Sea resort city of Sochi told Tass. This event is held in Sochi for the second time.
The movement was founded in 20007 and since them young people from Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine and other countries have been trained. Specialists from France, Canada, Great Britain, Jordan have been their teachers. Each delegate receives a special certificate and the right to educate same age students in their countries and cities.
The Jordan-based global non-profit peace building organization was founded in 2007 by Prince of Jordan Feisal Al Hussein and is represented in 48 countries.
The main aim of the movement is to achieve peace and stability, create a tolerant and non-conflict environment through sports programs.
