PRETORIA, June 27. /ITAR-TASS reporter Alexander Nechaev /. Hospitalized 94-year-old former South African President Nelson Mandela is connected to an artificial respirating unit, as reported today by the elder of his clan Napilisi Mandela.
“This is bad, but there’s nothing to do about it,” - he said.
On Wednesday, South African President Jacob Zuma has visited Mandela in the hospital, cancelling a planned visit to Mozambique to participate in the investment summit of the Southern African Development Community scheduled for Thursday.
“The doctors have informed the President that they are doing everything possible to improve the health of Mandela,” commented South African Press Association /SAPA/ news agency.
