Russia condemns attack on presidential palace in Kabul - Foreign Ministry

"This incident proved that terrorism continued to increase in the country," said the Russian Foreign Ministry in a statement

MOSCOW, June 26 (Itar-Tass) - Russia condemns suicide bombers’ attack on the presidential palace in Kabul, the Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.

On June 25, suicide bombers made an attack on the presidential palace in Kabul. Afghanistan’s law enforcers rebuffed the Taliban’s attack. All terrorists were neutralized. According to Afghan officials, as a result of the terrorist act three people were killed and one serviceman was wounded. “This incident proved that terrorism continued to increase in the country. These facts necessitate more attention to increasing combat capacity and the level of training of Afghan law enforcers,” the ministry said.

Russia “strongly condemns such manifestations of terrorism and confirms its readiness to further support the government of Afghanistan and the efforts taken by the international community to stabilize the military and political situation in the country”, the ministry said.
