MOSCOW, June 26 (Itar-Tass) - Russia hopes to strengthen a political dialogue with Qatar in order to ensure the lasting peace, stability and security in the Persian Gulf and in the Middle East as a whole, the Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, June 25, Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani said he stepped down from office and handed over power to his son, Tamim, who was earlier Qatar’s crown prince.
“Moscow confirms the commitment to improving cooperation between our states. Our cooperation has a considerable potential in different areas,” the ministry said.
