RIO DE JANEIRO, June 25 (Itar-Tass) - Brazilia’s President Dilma Rousseff plans to discuss with the leaders of other countries making up BRICS /Russia, India, China, and South Africa/ the possible steps the five countries might take amid the commencing growth of the U.S. dollars exchange rate, Thomas Traumann, a spokesman for the Presidential Administration said Monday.

He indicated Dilma Rousseff had had a telephone conversation with China’s President Xi Jinping.

The two leaders agreed that BRICS should do a closer analysis of its efforts and analyze painstakingly the aftermaths of the dollar rise for the financial markets.

An appropriate strategy meeting the objective will be mapped out at a conference of the group’s finance ministers and central banks presidents. They are expected to meet in July in Russia.

Brazil’s official news agency, Brazil Empresa di Comunicacao said Monday Rousseff also plans to contract Russian leaders by telephone on the same issue.

Also, she is considering telephone conversations with Presidents Pranab Mukherjee of India and Jacob Zuma of South Africa.
