MOSCOW, June 24 (Itar-Tass) - Russia believes that the terrorist acts in Syria differ from the opposition’s intention to take the population under its protection, Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said on Monday.

“In Doha John Kerry [U.S. Secretary of State] said the opposition was ready to take under protection the whole population of Syria regardless its confession and nationality,” Gatilov wrote in his Twitter microblog.

“How can be assessed the terrorist acts in Syria that led to the losses of lives among peaceful civilians? Is this the protection in the opposition’s view?” the deputy minister said.
