Over 27,000 signatures in support of Sobyanin collected in Moscow

MOSCOW, June 24 (Itar-Tass) - Almost 27,000 signatures in support of Sergei Sobyanin for the Moscow mayoralty have been collected in the capital, according to his web portal.

Seventy three thousand signatures are required.

The signature collecting started in Moscow on June 19. A total of 220 places to collect signatures have been opened in the city, near underground stations and in parks. Any Muscovite aged 18 and older can participate. A citizen must present a passport.

Sobyanin’s programme Seven Priorities was also published on the website on Monday. These are solving of transport problems, a comfortable city, development of education and health care, social protection, security and combating illegal migration, openness and Muscovites’ control of authorities.

Reports about election law violations or administrative pressure may be left on the portal. The complaints will be forwarded to the candidate’s electioneering headquarters.
