MOSCOW, June 24 (Itar-Tass) - Former CIA agent Edward Snowden has not left Sheremetyevo International Airport and remains at a transit area, well-informed sources in the airport told Itar-Tass on Monday.
“Snowden has been waiting for a connecting flight in the transit area. He had not passed either border or passport control. Formally, he did not cross the Russian border,” the sources said.
Snowden is expected to fly to Havana at 14:05 Moscow time. The check-in has not begun yet.
