MOSCOW, June 24 (Itar-Tass) - Several ceremonies are to be held here on Monday on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the historic Victory Parade of 1945 in the Red Square.
At 11:00, a ceremony is to be held to lay wreaths and baskets with flowers at the Unknown Soldier's Tomb in Alexander Garden, at the Monument to Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov, and at the entombments of mlitary leaders, and prominent state and political figures near the Kremlin Wall, an official at the city's public relations committee related. Moscow City government officials, participants in the Victory Parade, war veterans, and representatives of children's public associations will take part in the ceremony.
At 13:00, a ceremonial meeting and a festive concert dedicated to the anniversary will be held at the Moscow House of the Veterans of Wars and of the Armed Forces. "Victory Parade participants, and veterans of the Great Patriotic War will be the main guests at the meeting, the committee official pointed out.
As of now, 287 participants in the Victory Parade are living in the capital.
