ISLAMABAD, June 23 (Itar-Tass) - Pakistan’s Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (the TTP) movement has undertaken the responsibility for the murder of foreign tourists in a northern region of the country.

“Our representatives have organised the attack to revenge for attacks of American unmanned aerial vehicles in the north-west of Pakistan,” the movement’s representative told the local media on Sunday.

“The murder of foreigners in Gilgita demonstrates to the international community how much we hate American attacks against our fighters,” the source added.

In mid June, several teams of climbers, including from Russia, came to the country. However, the Russian embassy in Islamabad said the Russian tourists had not registered themselves at the consulate, thus having violated an official procedure, and this is why the embassy does not have information on the group.
