Rosneft seals deal with PKN Orlen on oil exports to Czech Republic

Under the contract, Rosneft shall supply through the Druzhba oil pipeline up to 8 million tonnes of oil worth $7 billion

ST PETERSBURG, June 21 (Itar-Tass) - Russian state-run oil giant Rosneft has signed a contract with Poland’s PKN Orlen on oil exports to the Czech Republic.

Under the contract until June 30, 2016, Rosneft shall supply through the Druzhba oil pipeline up to 8 million tonnes of oil worth $7 billion.

The deal was sealed on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

PKN Orlen is Poland’s major oil refiner and supplier to the Czech Republic.

In February 2013 Rosneft signed a $15 billion dollar direct contract on the supply of 18 million tonnes of oil to Poland within three years (6 million tonnes a year).
