ST. PETERSBURG, June 20 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s oil major Rosneft hopes to begin oil production in the Kara and Black seas in 2018, the company’s president, Igor Sechin, told the annual meeting of shareholders.
At the St. Petersburg international economic forum Rosneft plans to sign agreements with its offshore projects partners - ENI, Exxon and Statoil - to finalize the procedures of their accession to Rosneft’s projects on the sea shelf.
Each off-shore platform will be producing five million tonnes of crude a year.
