Ancient cities of Damascus, Bosra and Aleppo and some other objects have suffered considerable damage

HANOI, June 20 (Itar-Tass) - Six historical sites in Syria has been included on the UNESCO List of World Heritage in danger. A decision to this effect was taken on Thursday at the meeting 37th session of the World Heritage Committee, which is being held in the Cambodia capital.

According to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, ancient cities of Damascus, Bosra and Aleppo, the oasis of Palmyra, the castles of Crac des Chevaliers and Qal'at Salah El-Din, and the ancient villages in northern Syria have suffered considerable damage because of ongoing armed confrontation between the government forces and the opposition.
