MAKHACHKALA, June 20 (Itar-Tass) - Dagestan's Deputy Minister of Industry and Transport Kurban Sheikhmagomedov was killed in a car crash, police told Itar-Tass.

"The road accident occurred in the republic’s Babayurt district on Wednesday afternoon. The driver was slightly injured; the official died on the way to hospital," police said.

Some reports said Sheikhmagomedov was headed for the Kizlyar district for a conference. Road police are ascertaining the circumstances of the road accident.
