MAKHACHKALA, June 20 (Itar-Tass) - Two deputies of the Makhachkala mayor have resigned, Town Hall spokesman Murtuzali Murtuzaliyev said. The resignation statements were tendered by Olga Portnyagina, who is in charge of education, and Magand Magomedov, responsible for consumer markets and trade. The officials requested holiday with subsequent relieving them of their duties of their own accord.
Their resignation has been accepted, according to the spokesman.
Earlier, Makhachkala mayor Said Amirov was charged with ordering the murder of an investigator. He is in custody.
