Brunei to host ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting in early July

The upcoming Russia-ASEAN Business Forum within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will contribute to this in every possible way

MOSCOW, June 18 (Itar-Tass) - Brunei will host a Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in early July, Russian Foreign Ministry’s ambassador-at-large Alexander Ivanov said on Tuesday.

“Russia and ASEAN that was established in 1967 and unites ten countries of the region share common views not only on the architecture of regional security and development, but also on political philosophy - methods for peaceful settlement of disputes, rows and conflicts,” he said.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry “now actively contributes to developing cooperation between representatives of business circles of ASEAN member-states through methods of economic diplomacy.”

“We help our business community to know ASEAN states, their specific traditions and legislation better,” Ivanov said.

The upcoming Russia-ASEAN Business Forum within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will contribute to this in every possible way, the diplomat said.

“Our companies that will participate in the forum will only benefit from this,” Ivanov said.
