MOSCOW, June 17 (Itar-Tass) - A decision to send Russian peacekeepers to the Golan Heights to replace the Austrian contingent has not been made so far, Russian Foreign Ministry official spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on Monday.
"Naturally, the consent of Syria and Israel will be the main pre-condition for the move if the United Nations leadership makes such a decision and the U.N. secretary-general announces that the decision has been made. I cannot say what the situation is now. No decision has been made as of yet,” Lukashevich stressed.
