LE BOURGET, June 17 (Itar-Tass) - TsKB Progress, the Russia-based producer of Soyuz rockets, hopes to prolong the contract on launches from the Kourou spaceport, TsKB Progress general designer Ravil Akhmetov said here on Monday.
"Our stands presents a range of rockets; also, during the air show, we intend continue talks over further rocket launches from Kourou," Akhmetov said.
"We have contracts for the next few years; we wish to look at further terms," he noted. Akhmetov declined to elaborate on how far the plans to launch rockets from French Guiana might extend.
