LE BOURGET, France, June 17 (Itar-Tass) - The 50th anniversary International aerospace show opens here on Monday. This aerospace exhibition, which first opened more than a century ago, is as of now the largest-scale one in the world's aerospace industry.
According to the Russian Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation, more than 3,000 companies from 44 countries will participate in the show. Britain, Germany, India, Italy, China, Russia, the United States, Ukraine, and France are among exhibitors. The largest-scale exhiabitions have been arranged by France (1,040 organizations) and the US (350 organizations). On view at the show will be over 140 aircrafts, and about 40 air vehicles will participate in the flying programme. In particular, the American Boeing Corporation will present two newest passenger airliners Boeing 787 ("Dreamliner"). One of them will make demonstration flights every day of the show. Most exhibits (70%) at Le Bourget will be civil aviation vehicles and the rest will be military aircraft. French President Francois Hollande will visit the aerospace show on Friday.
The Russian exhibition has been organized by the Rostehnologii State Corporation. On the area of 1,700 square metres, 46 Russian organizations will set up their displays. Russian exhibitors include Rosoboronexport, the United Industrial Corporation Oboronprom (Helicopters of Russia and the United Engine Manufacturing Corporation (ODK), the Ural Optico-mechanical plant, the companies "Aviapriborostroyeniye ('aircraft instrumentmaking'), Avionics, and Radioelectronic Technologies(companies Sukhoi, IL, Russian aircraft building corporation, MIG, and Irkut corporation).
An international premiere of the versatile supermanoeuvrable jetfighter Su-35 and combat training aircraft Yak-130 bids fair to become one of key events at the show. The planes can be seen in a demonstration programme and at a parking location. The aerobatic flying group Russian Knights will also demonstrate their skills. A reconnaissance helicopter gunship Ka-52 (Alligator) will be shown to the international public for the first time.
On the second day of the aerospace show, a Russian civil airliner Sukhoi Superjet 100 will be displayed. It will be put into service with the Mexican air company Interject. This is thefirst airliner in the fitting and painting of the cabin of which a Venice-based Russian-Italian joint-venture enterprise took part.
A full-size mockup of the crew cockpit and passenger compartment of the MS-21 airliner will be shown at Le Bourget. This is the newest Russian civil aviation plane. At the ODK exhibition, visitors will be able to see a mockup of PD-14 engine which, in prospect, will be installed on the MS-21 and other airliners. The products of advanced development efforts will be displayed by the Russian space industry. Specifically, the N.A. Pilyugin research and production center for automatic devices and instrumentmaking will show one of the elements of the superdependable control system of the prospective carrier vehicle for a manned complex on the basis of the Angara space rocket.
At the aerospace show, the Russian bank Zenit and the French museum of aviation and cosmonautics will sign an agreement on coopperation with a view to opening at Le Borget a permanent exhibition to show retro military air equipment dedicated to the Normandie-Niemen air squaron. Earlier, the exhibits were kept at at a museum which was established expressly for this purpose in1992 in the city of Les Andelys in France's north. However, later on, due to a shortage of funds, the exhibition had to be closed down.
The aerospace show at Le Bourget will be open to the general public on Friday, June 21. It will come to a close on Sunday, June 23.
