Fire breaks out at psychiatric hospital in Smolensk region, no injured people reported

As many as 50 patients and three medical workers were evacuated from the hospital

MOSCOW, June 15 (Itar-Tass) - A fire broke out at a psychiatric hospital in the Smolensk Region, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

“The fire broke out on the roof of the building in the settlement Dryutsk. The fire was localized on 20 square metres,” an EMERCOM source said.

As many as 50 patients and three medical workers were evacuated from the hospital. “According to preliminary reports, no people were injured in the fire,” the EMERCOM source said.
