BUENOS AIRES, June 13. /ITAR-TASS reporter Dmitry Fominykh/. Three passengers were killed and over 70 injured in a collision between two shuttle trains in Argentina, as reported by representatives of the police. The crash took place in Buenos Aires province in the suburbs of Castelar city. As said by one of the witnesses, one of the trains smashed into another standing train that was waiting for the semafor sign in order to approach the railway station. Rescuers continue to help out people from wrecked cars. The wounded are receiving medical treatment. The exact number of dead and injured is being specified. At the scene of the accident has arrived the Secretary for Security of Argentina Sergio Berni.
Recently, the state railways in Argentina are target for a lot of criticism due to lack of proper control and lack of investment. In February 2012, as a result of the collapse of another shuttle train 51 people were killed and more than 700 injured.
