MOSCOW, June 12 (Itar-Tass) - A Boeing-737 airliner, which was on a flight from Tomsk to St Petersburg, made an emergeny landing at the airport of Cherepovets. A reserve airliner left Pulkovo airport to pick up the passengers, a source at the Russian Ministry of the Interior told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
"The airliner was on its way from Tomsk to Pulkovo when instrumentation registered an uneven supply of fuel during the flight. The crew decided to make an emergency landing at the nearest airport. Cherepovets turned out to be such a point," the Ministry source said.
According to Ministry data, the airliner was carrying six crewmembers and 112 passengers, with 12 children among them.
"The landing proceeded successfully, with none of the passengers being hurt. All the passengers are currently accommodated in the airport building. A reserve plane has left Pulkovo to pick up the stranded passengers and bring them to their destination," the Interior Ministry source emphasized.
