MOSCOW, June 11 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the newly announced divorce with his wife Lyudmila had no religious aspect.
“As for the religious side of the affair, there is none, because we had not had a church wedding,” Putin said, while visiting the television studios of the Russia Today news channel on Tuesday evening.
Putin said that his wife and he had made a decision to declare their divorce, because “saying this outright is a far more correct mode of behavior.”
