SEOUL, June 11 (Itar-Tass) - The top-level negotiations between North Korea and South Korea that were scheduled for June 12th and should have last two days are cancelled, the news agency Yonhap reported on Tuesday with the reference to official sources.

The reasons of cancellation remain undisclosed. Allegedly the talks were cancelled due to disagreements between Seoul and Pyohgyang concerning the delegations cast.

Earlier on, the parties agreed to conduct talks 'on the level of government representatives' from June 12th until June 13th in Seoul.

North Korea and South Korea planned to discuss issues of the normalization of the Kaesong Industrial Complex, renewal of tourist trips of South Korea citizens to Kumgang resort area and the reunion of families parted as a result of Korean civil war in 1950-1953.

During the talks in Seoul should have also been discussed the preparation for anniversaries of the signing of the inter-Korean declaration on June 15th, 2000, and the signinf of a joint statement on July 4th, 1974, as well as the matter of 'visits, contacts and collaboration of non-profit organisations'.
