VIENNA, June 10 (Itar-Tass) - Mikhail Shvydkoi regards as a natural development the dismissal of ballet star Nikolai Tsiskaridze from the Bolshoi company.

“World stars have their start, the period of maturity and the conclusion of the career - alas, this happens to all,” the representative of the Russian president for international cultural cooperation and deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bolshoi Theater, told reporters.

He said the conflict between the dancer and the directorate had only prompted this decision. ”The time comes when people must end their careers, and in a hostile situation this happens sooner,” Shvydkoi said.

He acknowledged that if he were in the position of Bolshoi director-general Anatoly Iksanov he would not have tolerated the “rebel.” “I said three years back I would hesitate to give a go to the person who criticized the Bolshoi so sharply. “But Mr Iksanov is a kindly man, so he waited for the contract to expire,” Svydskoi said.
