MOSCOW, June 10 (Itar-Tass) - The Communist Party of the Russian Federation /KPRF/ named first deputy chairman of the KPRF Central Committee Ivan Melnikov its candidate in the election to the post of Moscow mayor, leader of the KPRF faction at Moscow legislature Andrei Klychkov said on Tuesday.
"We held a conference, which nominated Ivan Melnikov the KPRF candidate. Deputy chairman of the KPRF Central Committee /Valery/ Rashkin and I support this decision," Klychkov wrote on Twitter.
The election of the Moscow mayor will take place on September 8.
