Belarus, Russia to consider oil balance issue before June 15 - RF ambassador

“Belarus hopes to receive [from Russia] 23 million tonnes of oil this year,” the diplomat said

MINSK, June 7 (Itar-Tass) - Russia and Belarus will consider the oil balance issue before June 15, Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus Alexander Surikov told a news conference on Friday.

“As for the oil balance, it is considered on a quarterly basis - for the first and second quarters,” he said.

“Belarus hopes to receive [from Russia] 23 million tonnes of oil this year,” the diplomat said, adding, “The sides are expected to consider a balance for the second half of the year or again for the next quarter.”

“There are no extraordinary problems on the oil markets now. I think that the decision on the balance will be made in favour of Belarus,” Surikov said.
