Seven Georgian peacekeepers die in suicide terror attack in Afghanistan

Rescuers are trying to release another peacekeeper, remaining under the rubble

TBILISI, June 6 (Itar-Tass) - Seven Georgian peacekeepers died in a terrorist suicide bomb attack on the Georgian base in Afghanistan’s Helmand province on Thursday, Irakliy Dzneladze, the chief of the United Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, told a briefing in Tbilisi on Thursday night.

According to him, nine Georgian servicemen were wounded but their lives are out of danger. Rescuers are trying to release another peacekeeper, remaining under the rubble.
