MOSCOW, June 3 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian Union of Travel Industry has not received complaints from Russian tourists staying in Germany, which was hit by the flood, RST spokesperson Irina Tyurina told Itar-Tass on Monday.

“I can say the flood mainly hit Bavaria when Russian tourists visit by buses. We have no information saying who is now staying in Bavaria and we have no emergency calls,” Tyurina said.

She said, “Every year it rains strong in the country. Traffic is blocked off and tourists are redirected by-pass routes.”

The last weekend Germany experienced heavy rainfalls that led to the flood. Residents of the south and east were caused material damage. The state of emergency was declared in many cities of Bavaria, Baden-Wurtemberg, Saxony and Thuringia. Schools do not function.
