MOSCOW, May 30 (Itar-Tass) - The persons detained on suspicion of extortion are employees of the financial and legal support center, and are not on the staff of the central office of the Department of Presidential Affairs, spokesman for the director of the department Viktor Khrekov said.
"The detainees are not personnel of the department's central office; they work at the financial and legal support center federal unitary enterprise," Khrekov said, "this company is one of the 83 organizations and enterprises subordinate to the Department of Presidential Affairs."
"If they are found guilty, they'll certainly have to be punished in accordance with effective legislation," the spokesman said.
