3 personnel from presidential affairs department detained for extorting

MOSCOW, May 30 (Itar-Tass) - Three personnel of the legal and financial support center under the Department of Presidential Affairs have been detained for extorting ten million roubles from an entrepreneur, the Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

"The deputy director of the Financial and Legal Support Center federal unitary enterprise under the Department of Presidential Affairs, his two subordinates, and a director general of a commercial firm who acted as mediator, have been detained. It has been ascertained that these persons demanded from a representative of a commercial organization ten million roubles for signing a contract of lease for office space in Varvarka Street in central Moscow," police said.
